Thanks for sharing. I don't know if this still apply to 2019 ES300H.

And one of these.

Which one of the USB cables you will need will depend on where you mount the cam.
Neat. That is something I am considering. Does your car equipped with Homelink? Is the layout on your car the same as one EJC posted?

Unless you're a contortionist with pitch black vision abilities, you're going to need a mirror and light to find and see it. The best I could do photo wise was a blurry photo of of the fuse block with some surrounding context so you can get a better idea of where the block is located. I've attached it for your viewing.

Location of US built 2019 ES350 driver's side fuse block

In addition to the photo a more detailed description of where the driver's side fuse block is located my help you find it. [This is for a US built 2019 ES 350 with the driver's position on the left hand side.] The fuse block is tucked up under the dash with the long axis of the block parallel to the long axis of the car. The location is recessed above the lower edge of the dash where the driver's legs go and the block is positioned pretty close to the left hand side interior wall moulding of the driver's side under dash area. (You have to get under the driver's side dash area and then look up toward the left hand side wall to see it.) The block is mounted with about a 30 degree incline from the plane of the car's floor with the end toward the fire wall higher than the edge toward the driver's seat. The tab you need to push to release the fuse block cover is located on the end toward the driver's seat. The fuse block itself is white looking and the fuse block cover is black with a printed light gray fuse location and size diagram.

.
Sweet Jesus. That is in a very awkward and tight spot. Which fuse did you use as tap for your dashcam? Did you get the fuse from Amazon?

I don't have a dashcam so I can't answer those questions. I was just helping out with the location of the driver's side fuse block.

If I ever get dashcams, I'm pretty certain I'll go with the smart and lazy person's solution for installation - hire a professional installer to do the job. Look at the fuse block location, where you'd install the front and rear dashcams, how you'd route [and hide] the wiring from the dashcam locations to the fuse block, and then putting it all together with optional battery backup with assorted fully checked out optional functionality - how much is it worth to you to avoid all that? For grins, I did a quick check in my local area and you can get it done in 2 to 2.5 hours for $150 if you buy the hardware from the installing shop ($185 if you bring your own hardware).

I've done many dash cam installs. I'd normally pick the accessory fuse as long as it's a switched fuse. Nowadays I use an ODBII hardwire kit with a built in voltage cutoff to preserve battery life. The ODB port is an always on circuit and is necessary for dash cams that uses parking monitor.

In my experience, Toyota/Lexus OBDII ports suck for this purpose. I tried to wire my dashcam this way, and the parking function would not properly shut off the dash camera when the car's battery voltage drops below 12, like it's supposed to do.

This is the one that kept killing my battery (well only twice, then I took it out of the loop). https://www.thedashcamstore.com/blac...-obd2-adapter/

This one however worked (and is still working) perfectly. https://www.thedashcamstore.com/blac...ention-module/

I've been using this one in my wife's car since March with no issues at all:
Amazon Amazon

Each of my vehicles also carries a 12v lithium battery jumper just in case.

Hey Mikeraj, did you by any chance install that Blackvue. I have a Blackvue DR750-2CH and I want to install it into my ES350. Have you already installed it, if so, what did you do?

I assume your going to use the parking function with the DR-750-2CH, so you'll need a switch to monitor the power drain when parked.

I ended up taking mine to my local Best buy store, where they installed it perfectly, and gave me a lifetime warranty on the installation, for $50.

Their web site today says the charge in my area is now $60, but for that amount, personally I wouldn't mess with it.

I know people have widely varying opinions of Best Buy employees, but it's been my expereince that their auto install folks are pretty darn good, especially for the price and warranty they offer.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to find out which of the fuse boxes have a constant 12V source when the car is OFF. Would anyone know what accessories have a contact 12V "ON'" when the car is off? I would really appreciate it.

The fuse labeled "OBD" should be constant on.
