Exclamation Flickering headlights

When I put my high beam on or when the adaptive headlight puts the high beam on automatically, driver side headlight seems to be flickering.
This happens when i am driving.
When i stopped in front of my garage door, it flickered a bit and then flickering stopped..
What could cause this? Does the whole headlight need replacement ?

How old is the car? Standard base ES headlights or the triple beams? Still under warranty?

Have you looked at it from outside the car to actually observe the light itself to see what it is doing rather than just from inside the vehicle?

Perhaps there’s a loose connection somewhere which causes an intermittent flicker but more info is needed. Headlights, especially the triple beams, are expensive items (which is why I asked about warranty status).

could be the led driver module is going bad, or the led it self. i'm pretty sure they're a unit unless you can diagnose and pick apart a used part for parts or just buy a used headlight altogether. either way it sounds like your headlight is coming out.

Car is just under 3 years old. So it is still under warranty.
Do these headlights need programming?
Being fsport, it is the triple beam headlights.
It looks like the pattern of the light beam is a little weird too. I will have a look from outside and see what exactly is doing.

get to the dealer if still under warranty. Those trip beams are about $2k each side just for the part.

Head straight to the dealership and let them figure out. Sounds like this is a hardware issue more than any type of software issue.

That’s most likely the LOW-HI switcher. The LED’s or the module should be fine if there’s no flickering when low beam are on.

The trouble is these things cannot be fixed so the dealer will replace the headlight assy.
Probably the LOW-HI switcher has a broken shaft and it vibrates while driving. .

Turn the hi beam on and try to hit the headlight with your palm, it will start flickering.

If they change one side, the other side will be old. I also noticed the other side is doing it too.
I didn't start hitting the headlight. I will just go there on Monday and see what they say. Will keep you posted.

Gosh just for one?? I tried to avoid them when I bought the car but couldn't fine one sans trips and AVS so I settled for just trips. Those parts are absurdly expensive to replace and for me little benefit to having them.

Can you fit the standard headlight to fsport bumper? Or bumper needs replacing as well?

I'm guessing same fit since the trips were optional even on FSport trims. That's just a guess!

Looks like they are the same fit. I see people upgrading from base to triple beams.

What the hell is reflector motor?
https://pressroom.lexus.com.au/Press...b-213eac243a21
Does that mean they will replace the whole headlight assembly or just the part inside ?
Does that mean they will crack open this headlight and manually put it/glue it together?
