So on the weekend I picked up a new 2023 ES350 - Fsport edition
I wasn't expecting it until the summer but the dealer was able to trade with another for it. Exactly to my specs with w.r.t. package, interior and exterior colours.
I absolute love it. Slick looking exterior and just love the palomino interior. Coming from a 2008 ES base model, still trying to figure out all the gizmos.
BTW, still have the 2008. My kids are learning to drive so I thought it would be a perfect 3rd car for our family.
Nice ride. Congrats! I didn’t know that interior color was available on the F Sport. I dig it 😁 By the way, what is the W.R.T. package? Winter reactive technology?
No I wasn't able to get any discounts. I emailed around about 1/2 dozen dealerships. All but one added on a hefty dealership fee. Guess which one I bought from?

Prior years, FSport interior was only available in black or red I believe (certainly in 2019 when I bought mine). I guess there have been changes - this one doesn't even have the FSport emblem on the steering wheel.

Quite a few changes came with Lexus splitting up the F Sport model type into F Sport Design and F Sport Handling model types.
Appearance wise, the F Sport Design got trimmed down to just exterior F Sport appearance features and the interior is just a "regular" ES interior with F Sport Design only "Palomino NuLuxe® and Open-Pore Brown Walnut trim" and "Black NuLuxe® and Open-Pore Black trim" interior options.
The F Sport Handling is mostly what used to be the previous F Sport model type appearance wise feature set with a now standard but previous years' optional F Sport Dynamic Handling package. In addition to the previous years' "Black NuLuxe® and Hadori Aluminum" and "Circuit Red NuLuxe® and Hadori Aluminum" interior trim options, a "White NuLuxe® and Hadori Aluminum" trim option was added as a trim option for the F Sport Handling model type.

Is this the model with handling or just appearance stuff? I’m not into the handling benefits but I would consider the F Sport appearance additions. Are they worth the extra money? Special headlights, blackened wheels, badging… Anything else?

jkayca's interior photo shows a "Palomino NuLuxe® and Open-Pore Brown Walnut" trim interior so it is a ES 350 F Sport Design model type.
The F Sport Design has the same exterior appearance features as the F Sport Handling ("F SPORT exterior styling including unique front bumper, grille surround and rear spoiler" and "F SPORT 19-inch split-five-spoke alloy wheels with Gloss Black finish and black lug nuts"); however, the only same F Sport interior feature is the F Sport style instrument cluster. Features in the F Sport appearance bin NOT included in the F Sport Design interior are "F SPORT perforated shift ****", "F SPORT aluminum pedal", and F SPORT heated leather steering wheel. Also, from what I can discern from photos, the F Sport Design does not have the F Sport styled seats including the more aggressive side bolstering in the seat backs.
FYI, none of F Sport model types have anything special in the headlights department. Like all model types headlights are either the standard "Bi-LED headlamps" or the extra cost optional "Premium Triple-Beam LED headlamps".
As far as the F Sport Design model type is concerned, it isn't easy or obvious that there's any extra cost involved with the F Sport appearance features. There's some differences between the "standard" feature sets of the F Sport Design model types and closely comparable non-F Sport model types that you can't really sort out which features are contributing to model type cost differences.
Thanks for the thoughtful and comprehensive reply.
I think I’ll stick with the non F sport choices. I’m not one for blackened wheels and the other goodies are not important to me. The performance version is clearly not my cup of tea and dislike sport seats hitting my hip every time I enter. I’ll opt for the Luxury model. Nice to have numerous alternative choices.
