Default Cup Holder Insert

Hi all,

Just purchased a 2021 ES with the giant square cup holder. I find this to be extremely impractical, especially for smaller drinks as there is nothing to hold the can or bottle up. I don’t want an insert that sticks out, rather something that fits in the square and makes it a normal circle. I’ve looked online and Amazon for a solution, but no luck. I might just be missing something, but does anyone have a solution?

I am not aware of any kind of insert. Are you aware that you can push the button and make the depth like half the depth? That helps with certain size cups.

For smaller and thinner cans, the insert isn’t effective. The can still tips over.

That cupholder size and shape is weird. For me, it's my sunglasses holder. I use the other normal cupholder for cups, and only occasionally use the weird cupholder for cups. If I have a water bottle I put it in the door pocket, it fits fine there.

Are you missing the piece that goes between the cell phone holder and the cup holder?

I find the cupholder in the 19-22 ES to be the grandest cupholder I've ever experienced on this planet. I've used a lot. It's deep and large in big mode, and perfect in small mode. I don't want any rubber flaps with slits in them to hold every conceivable item known to man as i don't want to feel like i'm driving a 1989 Geo Metro. So the cupholder is great. The drop down door has a nice smooth action and feel. The holder also triples as a great holder for my keys and/or phone. Such a wonderful cupholder.

Second best cupholder in the Lexus lineup is the big fat holder in the CT200h.

Worst is the pre-facelift IS. Two tiny little redbull can holders. maybe you'd like that lol

I use it for bottles & then "flip open" the inlay thing. That way it "secures" the bottle
