I found this in the glove box, presumably bagged and labeled by the previous owner. Any ideas what it might be?

 

RFID for something. Maybe for a gate, bridge…

 

Googling 2011 ALIEN mirrow insert turns up several reddit and other queries on it with answers indicating RFID tags for either auto dealer inventory or anti theft purposes. Further searching yields this Alien Squiggle Inlay. The squiggle graphic at the top of that web page looks like the printed wiring you see in your second photo.

I second the RFID for locating the cars on the dealer lot and possibly even allowing gates to open on the dealer lot.

 

thats just gate stuff. i use one to open gates. mine is hidden.
