So news is finally officially public about the 2023 ES.
- redesigned console
- dual cupholders beside each other
- wireless CarPlay
- wireless phone charger on top of console instead of inside storage box
- new screen user interface on the screen including climate controls on the screen (physical buttons remain though), "Hey Lexus" commands, cloud based navigation, etc.
- CD player removed
Full press release here on the EU site, will follow shortly I would think for North America (long weekend there)...
Am pretty surprised they updated it that much, little annoyed by that to be honest, after picking up a 2022 in late May. The new layout + wireless AA are what I want.

I hear ya man. I have a wireless CarPlay adapter so I'm good there but the little box is in the way a bit. I got my car in mid-May also.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my ES. These are good QOL upgrades though. Oh well, no regret! I knew the rumors before I purchased my car, just didn't think they'd be true hah
Nobody believed me in April when I bought my ES 300H 2023 and I explained what they told me in the Lexus dealer where I ordered it
good call. Surprising indeed. My 2019 is officially dated😜 I feel for the folks that just purchased 22s and paid msrp or worse on top of it all. Perhaps the current body style will be retained longer that previously anticipated.

Guess your dealership was right. A lot of times they're filled with salesman with little knowledge of their own products they're selling. Unless you talked to a higher status staff member (I forget), like a GSM or GM, then the rest don't really know much.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was kicking myself a bit now, but end of the day they were rumors and official word from Lexus wasn't coming any time soon (back in March when I started my search). However, with the current market, I got the pretty much the exact car/spec I wanted. So I'm very happy with my ESH.

Call me crazy but I would actually miss the track pad and the wireless charger in that space is just a waste.
I’m glad that the console space on my 22 UL is “well used”. The redesigned console in the 23 ES looks very boring. The track pad and the hidden wireless charger in the 22 ES is a better choice and much better utility of space for the ES. The redesigned console in the 23 ES with the 2 cup holders and the exposed wireless charger located on top of the console is a waste of space. I’m sooooooooo glad that I got the 22 UL.
I would also believe that this new and upgraded Lexus phone app where you can control the air conditioning and heating can be updated on the current Lexus app for the 22 ES vehicles as well. The same goes for the voice activated “Hey Lexus” on board assistant that the 23 ES will have as standard equipment.
Wow, I'll admit it, I'm surprised. I said on this board this wouldn't happen in '23, and evidently I was wrong.
On the whole, I think it's a very positive set of changes. One interesting detail is that the analog clock stayed; I seem to recall some speculation it was toast.
I don't see a CD player, and I assume it IS toast. That I'd miss, and on that basis alone, I don't regret getting the '22 setup instead. But the one thing I really wish I had in this arrangement is the storage space they cleared by moving the wireless charger. It's one of the features I tried to delete and couldn't, and I miss the storage space it consumes.

I still play CDs as well. You and I may be the last two!
