Basic A/C Settings Question
Basic question. I’m still fine tuning the settings on the new 350 ES I’ve had for only a few weeks now.
I’m in FL and in mornings would like fresh air without a/c compressor to run. There was a setting that said “A/C off” for it that I chose. So to thereafter activate a/c, without having to dive into settings every time, do I press auto? I would like to manage manually using temperature gauges, etc. Former cars had “Econ” setting, which was new air without compressor. No such option apparent on the dash. Can someone explain. The instructions are a bit unclear to me.

Yes, it will allow you to turn the AC compressor on and off without going into the menus, but what that setting also does is that, whenever the AC is turned on, it will only operate in the recirculate mode, and it will never operate in the fresh air mode. The result of always operating in the recirculate mode can be that it can cause the air inside the cabin to have a "stale" feeling.
There is also an ECO setting (separate from the AC on off) but that merely limits the AC operation in some way to conserve energy and make you uncomfortable. Can't imagine why anyone would use that.

Great place to enjoy a Lexus!
Have you dealt with any of the Lexus franchises down here for service? Germaine Lexus is in Naples. Closest probably to both of us.

There's one in Ft Myers as well which is closest to Sanibel. We typically fly down though as our stays are only a week or two at a time.
