First oil change performed, as a break-in oil change. 1,625 miles. Idemitsu 0W-16, Toyota filter, Toyota drain plug washer. I was debating it doing it at 5,000 or even 7,500 but in the event I decide to keep the car, i figure it's cheap insurance.
Notes:
Ran into issue removing filter using existing tools, clearance is tight from engine block protrusions. Ideally a socket-style cap tool (very possibly 64mm/14 flute) is the way to go. I'll buy this tool next time around.
Drain plug/oil filter access panel is very simple to remove. Four 10mm screws. Use a power drill w/ 1/4" drive extension to speed things up.
Oil filter canister is very thin and crushes easy. Careful with tools that bite into the (new) filter, this is why a cap style tool I believe is ideal.
Oil filter comes pre-lubed on seal (Toyota brand anyway)
Installed oil filter dry (forgot to pre-fill with oil) but oil light did not come on when ICE engine started. This means engine retained adequate oil pressure on first start up
Car drove easily and smoothly up onto ramps. All my other cars made the ramps hop or skip or push and hard to slowly drive up. The electric drive is very easy to modulate and drives up very smoothly.
When you installed the dashcam, was it hard to remove the case and replace it with the dashcam? Specifically were the clips holding it really delicate?
