Hybrids have an electronic cabin heater element i believe, which come online in certain conditions when the engine is off. 6th gen hybrids have it also. Don't know much details about it, or if this is an additional feature i payed for.

Searching around, it's said that it's covered by 2 50A fuses, which would net 1200W. I too live in CA & keep my car garaged. I hope I'll never really need it.

Thumbs up what is Lexus fast response heater

I was told this was from the Prius Hybrid, it stores hot coolant in a
thermos-like container then releases it to warm up the car faster, providing cleaner cold starts and faster HEAT!
