Traded in my CT200h F Sport. I have to get used to this car's size. Loving it so far, though. ES300h Hybrid
I plan to do LED front turn signals... that is if the Canbus/relay can play nice. Anyone experiment with this yet?
Also going to transfer my two dash cams over to the ES (front and rear)
May add a sub/amp and change the front door speakers if possible. Anyone know the specs of the front door speakers? Size and impedance? I have the basic ES. Non-ML, non-Luxury.
Also want to do tints. I will order them pre-cut and install them myself.
The wheels are small, so might wait for a set of used 18 luxury or ultra luxury wheels to pop up. Open to aftermarket ideas as well so long as they're classy.

Snapped a few pics, today was a nice day.
Congrats! I like that color, and the spoiler. Did you go with another hybrid? I'm sure you could sell your wheels to offset the upgraded ones you want. People like me buy them to put snow tires on
If I'm not mistaken, I thought the turn signals on my car are LED; maybe that was lumped in with another option.
As for the wheels, read the owners manual before swapping. They specifically say that if the car came with 17" you should not install larger due to clearance issues. I'm assuming the suspension is different or offset.
The 17's are really nice and comfy though. This is the smoothest car I've ever driven.
As for speakers, I'm waiting for Crutchfield to list the parts for this car to also swap my front door and sub woofer speakers.
Congrats,I have the same color and find it very hard keeping it clean especially in a region that rains a lot. What happened to the emblems, did you take them off.
As for the dash cam there’s 2 empty fuse slots you can use a fuse tap to power the dash cam.
In the photo of the car's rear, look at the chrome trim on the bottom edge of the car. That style of trim only comes on an ES with a 4 cylinder engine so it is either a ES300h or a ES250 AWD.

I'm curious about the missing emblems also.
My ES has the Nightfall Mica color also. The posted photos don't really show the full effect/glory of that color. You need to see it up close in bright sunlight to see the full glittery metallic dark blue dazzling color. As to keeping it clean, you're right about that - any water spots really stand out with that color.
Yes I debadged the car the night I brought it home =)
And the luxury wheels or ultra luxury wheels should fit without issue.
I test fit one LED turn signal bulb I had laying around and it works perfectly. On non-triple beam headlights, you get regular old incandescent turn signals in front and LED in back. A shame. I'll post the results when I get the new set of bulbs tonight. Also the front parking indicators are also old fashioned incadescent 194 wedge bulbs. Other than that this is the car with the most LED bulbs out of any car I've owned so I'm happy I don't have to do the song and dance of replacing every single bulb with LED. Just two... four if I'm picky and do the front parking indicators
and yes it was heavy when i picked it up
*sorry edited the first post to mention I did a de-badge.

Yeah it definitely sparkles in the sun. And after one drive I notice all the dust already.
ES300h. I debadged the car. I forgot to cite the model when I made the post.

If I'm reading the parts diagrams correctly, both the base and Mark Levinson systems use the same speakers with the exception the Mark Levinson system has an additional speaker in the upper front corner of each front door. Per the diagram in the SOUND SOPHISTICATION OF THE ALL NEW ES article, the common (both ML and non-ML systems) front door speakers are eight x nine-inch elliptical woofers. I haven't seen anything specific as to the impedance of the speakers.
^Thanks. I find it hard to believe the ML system would use the same speakers as non-ML. Maybe same sizes, just different units?
Seems the front door speakers are 8x9 elliptical, i wonder what the dash speakers are. May have to just pull them out and see for myself.
My past two Lexuses I installed Polk DP651s, and they're a tremendous bang for the buck and have a warm rich sound. I'd probably do something simple like that.
Then I have to figure out where to tap into the rear speaker outputs to install my sub. Then I'll call it a day... (won't waste time w/ a DSP or anything)
Also found an annoyance when cruising... the stereo/hvac control panel creaks as you drive down the road. Hopefully it's simple to pull out so I can insulate the mounting tabs so it doesn't make noise.
You can use this calculator to figure out clearance differences when changing rim specs. Just put original rims/tires in first set and play with wheel diameter, width, offset, and tire size in second and read out clearance and overall diameter differences. https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=30mm&sr=0mm

The parts diagram is posted a link to is supposed to be listing official Lexus parts and part numbers. So, with the exception of the two additional speakers in the ML system, exact same speakers are used in both systems.
In March 2020 there was a forum discussion in the "ML system 17 speakers" thread which indicated the ML system speakers aren't really what one would expect to find in a super high quality stereo system. This is what hammerme had to say about the 9 cm Unity speakers used in the ML system (as well as the base system):

So, on the G7 ES, the 7 unity extended range speakers are counted as 14! However, there is only one voice coil "motor" in each. There is only one channel of amplification per, not bi-amped. Each speaker has 2 cones driven by one voice coil. Even the name "unity" implies one driver. No one does wizzer cones in HiFi anymore. Just try to find a good speaker that does. The allusions to green efficiency is good entertainment though. I can only imagine what the 1700 watt power amp will be pumped up to next time.

Going by my previous post's reasoning, the dash speakers should be 9cm Unity speakers. They are listed with two different part numbers but I think the difference is just in the hardware mounting framing.

IIRC, a posting I ran across somewhere, said the wiring to the rear deck subwoofer was wiring for a dual channel setup and the subwoofer was labeled to have a 2.5 ohm impedance. The posting also included details on the wire color codings but I can't recall the details.

^Thanks. I did some research on the standard 10-speaker audio amp and it's a Pioneer unit listing all speaker impedance as 4 OHMs with the exception of the subwoofer which is 2.5 ohms.
The amp is apparently located under the driver's seat from some writing someone did on an inventory tag on the amp. This should make upgrading speakers relatively easy I'd think. Just have to figure out exactly what's going on with the front speakers. I have a feeling they're in a plastic encasing with a proprietary shape/mounting pattern. An example would be the 16+ RX350. I'm really hoping the aftermarket has a solution as I don't want to have to pay someone to make custom adapters. There's a whole bunch of Toyota/Lexus adapters but they're for older cars.
Re the cupholder thread. Thanks I did see that one. Unfortunately (or not) mine is coming from the radio/hvac controls. It seems it just pops out if I remove the upper sweeping trim that sits on top of it. I'll explore this later. Don't really feel like having some kid at the Lexus dealer fidget with my new car and say they couldn't find anything. (If i can avoid it)
you might want leave tyres as they are .. the 17 inch gives the most quiet and comfortable ride.
Second that... My 19 ESh on the "Noise Reduction" 19" rims rides very bumpily. It's a good-looking wheel, but I wouldn't have minded an 18" wheel from a ride perspective.
