On my 2014 IS I could scroll through my IPODs artist or album list using the joystick and choosing the appropriated letter tab to go to letter "S" for example. How in the world does one browse/scroll through artists or albums using the Infotainment center or Carplay? I can get to the artist or album screens but that gets me to top of the alphabet and there is no way I'm going to scroll from A to R using the trackpad.-- what am I missing here?
I have an Iphone 12 and connecting/using Carplay is no issue but how do you scroll to artists or albums starting with the letter "S"?
I don't believe there is an option to skip to a certain letter. I would suggest creating various playlists or simply ask Siri to play the song you are searching for.
I use CarPlay with Amazon Music, which allows you to search by first letter. You still have to scroll through the first letters of the alphabet to get to the letter you want, but you don't have to scroll through the entire list of all songs (or artists) alphabetically.

You would think Apple’s own Itunes Music Library app through Carplay could do the same but all I get is the Top of the library with no letters to select from.
what’s the point of having to start at the top? Does Apple expect one to scroll through thousands of Albums or Artists to browse?

Good wheel manufacturer. Have had two sets for other cars and never had a problem. Just make sure to get the correct offset so they’re not sticking inside way too much or out lol.
OK here's the story -- Apparently when you attempt to browse music via the Music Icon through CARPLAY and select either Artists or Albums a list of Artists or Albums shows up starting with the letter "A"; however, the right side scrolling bar is MISSING. This scrolling bar if pressed takes you to a keyboard where you can select any letter you want. This is MISSING on the touchpad vehicles and present in the touchscreens Lexus' like the RX.
So for now those with the ES & the touchpad either have to scroll through the list of songs using the touchpad until your reach the letter "S" or pickup your Iphone an browse & select your Artist/Album.
If CARPLAY would activate this right scroll bar using the touchpad selecting the Album/Artist would be a breeze.
