I took delivery of my ES 350 on 4/20/20. During that process, the salesman had me download the app and helped me activate my account with Lexus. Long story short, it still doesn’t work right. The latest action taken was a firmware update on my DCM, (data communication module yesterday). After waiting the customary 24 hours they state it can take up to for the account to be completely activated, it’s still a no-go. I can do everything on the app except lock and unlock the doors, or start the engine. Each time I try it responds with Request could not be completed, please contact your dealer (42). Nobody seems to know why. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, were you able to get it resolved?

Bought mine in July 2020 and everything worked on day 1. No issue so far, I can lock, unlock, start the car, etc.

Finally after 5 months of ownership, my dealer resolved the Lexus ENFORM issue and everything now works from the app. It took an email to Lexus Corporate to get someone interested in fixing the issue. The fix involved a couple of firmware updates and ensuring every specific step was followed in the update. In addition to finally fixing the problem, they extended my subscriptions by 6 months, more than making up for the time I’ve been without it.

I've found that it all depends on who you ask for help. I tried remote starting my car today and the (new) Lexus app asked for my VIN, password, activation code (what??) and authorization code whatever that is... I tried to do all that they asked even having them send me an activation code. I entered the VIN and it said it wasn't valid. I then entered the activation code. That was invalid too. Bear in mind that a picture of my car and my name is on the site. I Then called Lexus back and after sorting everything out I was told to go out to the car and press the SOS button to activate remote services. I've never had to do this previously. I pressed the button - 5 times - and nothing happened. At this point steam was exiting my ears... I had the wireless phone and called Lexus from the car. The agent - who wasn't the energetic type, told me to take the car back to the dealer because something is wrong. In one of the directives online it said to press the SOS button or obtain a new code from an agent. So I said send me a new code and I'll enter that and see if it works. He said it won't work and take it to your dealer. I said SEND ME THE F-IN CODE... He sent me the new code and I entered it online and was informed to wait 24 hours to use my remote service THAT I PAID FOR... What a real circle jerk this enform is... All I wanted to do is start my car... The whole episode took over an hour. I wonder if the other manufacturers have these issues.

I totally agree. It’s like any other call center you’d call for service. Some are very helpful or at least empathetic, while others make you wonder how they even got the job. I hope you get it all sorted out.
