Using Android Phone WITHOUT Android Auto (2019 ES 350)
Android Auto is not available on the 2019 ES 350. How can I use my Android phone with that model?
I understand Android Auto will be available on the 2020 ES 350. Will a software update make it available in the future on the 2019 ES 350?
Any insight you can offer will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I am in the same boat, 2019 ES with Apple Carplay, but no Android Auto. All other car maker have been able to update older models with CarPlay and Android Auto. Mazda will update cars back to 2014.
I complained to Lexus multiple times with no result. It's just freaking software udpate.
I'm sorry to resurrect this older thread, but I just found it when looking for contact information. There are 2 different devices. 1) Carplay2air for iPhones (https://carplay2air.com), and Carplay2air for Android (https://carplay2air.com/products/car...to-mirror-link).
I bought this for my 2019 ES so I can use Apple CarPlay using my iPhone, wirelessly. It works fine. Maybe 90% as well as using the USB port. There are a couple of minor glitches once you complete the setup, but they don't really impact performance. The startup connection can be a little temperamental occasionally. When this happens, I simply restart the car to restart the connection process. I had SOME issues when plugged in, too. I'm just not sure if this is an issue with CarPlay2Air, CarPlay, or the car. Restarting has never failed to resolve the connection issue for me, though, and it doesn't happen very often. Also, I'm not sure, but I don't think it uses the car microphone to initiate verbal contact with ACP. The only time I see this is when I try to call up Siri by saying "Hey Siri". The phone has to be able to hear you in order for Siri to respond. Once she does, it uses the car microphone. It also works perfectly using the phone for calls, unless you try to use Siri to initiate the call. I keep my phone in my back pocket, so it's problematic for me. I have to shout to make Siri respond initially.Once she does, everything is normal.
The only installation setup issue I have is that WHILE CONNECTING, the touchpad used to move the cursor/selector around doesn't seem to work. It still manages to make the connection and works fine once into the ACP app. I ran into an issue when I changed phones, where I had to change the name of the new phone so it was different. Otherwise, it kept trying to connect to the old phone that was already on its way back to Apple. My current issue is that without being able to move the cursor/selector, I can't remove the old phone.
Summary:
I'm happy with this product, and more than willing to put up with very minor inconveniences so I don't have to plug my phone into the USB cable every time. Plus, since I got a USB cable with a 90-degree cable, I can close the cover on the console. The only bad thing is that I can't use the cupholder while I have the adapter in. I couldn't use it anyway, as that's where the phone went (and unfortunately where it often was left when I got out of the car).

You can read more about Android Auto here:
https://www.android.com/auto/?gclid=...B&gclsrc=aw.ds
There used to be an app that would allow you to somehow use the features even if your car wasn't compatible. I'm not sure if it's still around but check your Google play store.
