Default Active noise cancelation?

I wonder why Lexus didn't implement ANC on the ES? The 2019 Avalon has it on the sport trim levels. I don't buy the Lexus claim they made the car too quiet and hand to add in more noise!

Owning a car with "Active Noise Cancellation" myself, its basically a gimmick.

Case in point, drive an Avalon and drive an ES. The ES is quieter.

I was a bit shocked to find out the es doesn't come with acoustic front glass, like the base Avalon. They make you buy a luxury package to get it.

All I can find is the f sport, it just pumps engine noise through the speakers. It may be similar to what Toyota uses on the Avalon and does actually work as a noise cancelation system. I can't find any real info for the ES.

Like I said though, at the end of the day the ES is still quieter. What matters is the end result not how they get there.

Sounds like you should go buy an Avalon.

If only I could try them both for a day! I keep flip flopping.

I might as well go Avalon and sound deaden the whole car and save thousands IMO just got to snag a set of those acoustic wheels.

I was leaning towards the RLX for being built to a higher price standard than the ES and having a better stereo.

But the car is dated now and that double screen infotainment is a mess.

You can. Just tell the dealer you'd like to drive one for the day and they will let you do that.

It still won't be an ES. The ES is a much more appealing car IMHO.

Acoustic wheels are a gimmick too.

I do want to see acoustic measurements of the acoustic wheels, other than the hammer test.

Honda/Acura also claim be a 10db noise reduction, but at what frequency?

Its total BS. Who needs a measurement? Just go drive an ES with acoustic wheels and one without. No difference.

I read the Acura noise reduction is only applicable for hearing impaired drivers.
