OK, my turn to ask for help. I tried, for the first time, to use Alexa in the car while driving. The response was "there is no phone connected to the Alexa app". I downloaded and installed the Lexus+Alexa app on my Android phone. Do I have to enable the Alexa/Lexus app on the phone every time I get in the car? I already have Wi-Fi enabled but this should go thru BT. Need some advice from the experts... TIA...

I don't have my ES yet (another week) but I already installed the Lexus+Alexa app on my phone. I have noticed that if I get into my current car with Bluetooth turned on I get a notification on my phone that the Lexus+Alexa app is trying to connect. So I think it should just do it automatically as long as the phone is paired to the car and the phone Bluetooth is turned on.
The app does need to be running on your phone, although it should open automatically. The Alexa app needs to be selected as the source on the car (You can't switch to the radio for instance)
