I took delivery of a 2019 ES50 F Sport today and When i try to use the Lexus enform remote app I keep getting an error message Any help will be appreciated it.

 

A few thoughts:

is your car showing as activated in the app? It could take a few hours after you go through the process to go live
are your doors locked?
is the internet connection adequate?

If all of this checks out, try logging out of the app and then back in.

I use the app for both of our cars, RX and ES and it works flawlessly for remote start every time.

 

 

Then time to have the dealer check it

 

I have the remote start working from my FOB now. I was never able to that to work on my wife's RX but just tried it on the ES and BINGO. Three successive presses of LOCK and hold on the third.

 

Hijacking this to complain....

It's cold. Down in the 20's last week. As I'm checking out at the grocery store I remote start the car so it will be all nice and warm.
Come out to the car with a cart full of grocery's, wave my foot to open the trunk and the car shuts off. By the time I load everything into the car and return the cart it's cold again.

Why does the car shut off if I open the trunk?

 

Much discussion on this. Engine turns off as soon as you unlock anything. Try loading the car a bit faster

 

I knew it did that when I unlocked/opened the door. It was a surprise to find out opening the trunk does it as well.

 

Same concept whatever that might be - security etc. I know may owners hate this.

 

I was happy that the delivery specialist set mine all up and we made sure it worked before leaving the dealership with my GS.

I had a similar issue though on my previous GS. I called support and they had me go out to the car and press the SOS button. Tell them it's not an emergency and you need help with your Enform Remote. They route you to the troubleshooting people who can reset it all for you and re-initialize it, all without having to take it in to the dealer. Fixed in about 10 minutes. I would try this first as I bet they can fix it.

 

Make sure you have the car parked where it can get a reliable satellite signal. I had a similar problem with a 2016 NX. It worked intermittently in my home garage, and the parking garage at work. Since these were the only 2 places I would ever use it, I didn't keep the subscription.

 

Do all ES cars now have a foot motion activated trunk sensor?

 

Optional not standard.

 

And I may be wrong but i dont think i could get it on the F sport.. wasnt a deal breaker for me( i do it with mind control )

 

Pretty sure it's an option on the FSport as well although mine doesn't have it and I really didn't care for that gimmick. On my wife's RX, you can wave your hand at the emblem to open the hatch. I never use it.
