Default Incentives on 2019 ES

They're already out there including $1,000 cash back for current Lexus owners.

This indicates that there's no buyer rush to buy the 2019's and the dealers can't get MSRP...

For sure and general lack of demand for sedans. Bodes well if you're planning to buy one.

Good points. No matter how nice the new ES is, the market for CUV's and SUV's continues to grow and sedans are stagnant or declining. The ES will do well but probably not a runaway success. Good for buyers.

Default Is 4.5% off MSRP a fair deal at this time?

,
Yesterday I began my discussion with my local dealer for an UL ES300h (Atomic Silver w/ Chateau, ML, HUD, BSM, N-R wheels, Triple beam headlights..)
MSRP is $54,749, and they are quoting ~ 4.5% less. My feeling (from reading this blog) is that Invoice is ~ 10% off MSRP, so I think there may be some room for add'l negotiating. What say y'all?
Note, this will be my first Lexus, so I wouldn't qualify for the repeat customer discount.

I dont believe invoice is 10% below msrp, but with other incentives, holdback etc, thats the sweet spot many folks target.

I got pricing as well, with a late November/early December arrival time (they don't have the car) it will be about 10% off.

Looks like they ended. Last week there was a $750 loyalty rebate on the 2019's in my zip code. Today there is nothing.

I still see offers in my zip through 10/31/2019: Conquest cash and loyalty cash.

Are you special ordering the car?

Not bad. With the loyalty and Conquest incentive it's $3000.00 off until 10-31... I'll have to check my local dealer to see if it's here as well as Ramsey, NJ. They wouldn't give me a price on the UL model online. Listed for $53, 285.00.

It looks like a bait and switch. You have to have a Mercedes and it can't be combined with the loyalty rebate.

Fine print:
"Trade-in or termination of Mercedes-Benz vehicle is required. Limit one incentive per eligible VIN. Lexus, a division of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., will pay $2,000 towards the lease of a new 2019 ES 350 through a participating Lexus Dealer and Lexus Financial Services.
May not be combined with Lexus Loyalty Cash."

HA! Good catch Mike. So looks like the only discount would be if you had a Lexus and for $1000.00 - not $3000.00. And this is by Lexus, not the dealer... Sneaky IMO...

Always catches but for Lexus owners, something there at least.
