Since buying my ESh in March 2024 (new) I have noticed a minor peculiarity. When listening to the radio, in “accessory” position, the radio cuts out after 7-8 minutes, along with a message. Not a big deal, but curious why such a small draw is even an issue. I suggest ESh owners watch a recent Car Care Nut video on YouTube where he skillfully explains just how wimpy this 12 volt battery is.
My takeaway? On my car’s 4th or 5th anniversary, I will replace this battery, whether or not it is still “starting” the car. The consequences of this battery going bad are severe, from an electrical/ computer perspective, as the CCN explains in great detail.

 

Yes, and I recommend AGM battery.

 

Yeah I replaced mine when I got the car after I had the same issue. AGM for $110 and 10 minutes to do the swap.

 

Wow, that seems to be less than half of the prices I'm seeing online. Costco AGM 47 is the cheapest at $180. Everywhere else is $200+
