Default Get it together Lexus

Can't Toyota find a better way to secure their app? This is annoying. Sure ask for a biometric scan once in a while but to completely log you out is just stupid.

I literally have about 20 accounts all over the place and it drives me nuts trying to remember logins and passwords for all of them. I have a password manager for most of them but it's such a huge hassle.

If Lexus don't change this I'm not subscribing to this service when the trial ends.

You can reduce this by navigating to Profile (top right icon) > Account > Security Settings > Require Authentication, and setting it to the maximum duration of 12 hours.

I don't know what sort of app auto-update configuration you have nor the last time you tried to use the Lexus app, but you may have gotten automatically logged out when your Lexus app got updated to the recently updated version. For a few occasional app updates in the past, I've had to manually sign in to reenable biometric-verified account sign-in. (I use a password manager, so the manual sign-in doesn't require much in the way of manual input.)

At least for the Apple ecosystem (iOS, iPadOS, and macOS), whenever the Lexus app terminates, you're automatically signed out of the app (and the My Lexus account network link), requiring some form of credentialed account sign-in the next time the app is run. Using a password manager and enabling biometric-verified account sign-in eliminates the hassles of manually entering account credentials to accomplish account signing in on each start-up of the app.
