I was annoyed by this feature initially, because it keeps on auto braking when people are approaching when I backing up, but they are still far away. It is so loud that I keep thinking that something must be "breaking" after that, either the pads, the rotors or something in the brake system. But everything is fine, saved my *** few times, front and back, I like it, it also scares the **** out of people who keep waking toward my car when I'm like half way reversing already LOL, get out of my way!

Nice (?) thing about the backup camera is that I can see the folks texting while walking...across behind while I am backing out of a parking space.
Earth to moron!

I was never so glad as today to have the cross traffic alert and assist feature. A small, gravel parking lot at a trail head where cars were packed in along both sides and people are unloading or loading their bikes and/or hiking gear, I’d parked nose in but really close to a handicap spot when I noticed the car opposite me getting ready to leave. Figuring that spot was larger than the one I was in and was not impeding a handicap spot I began backing across the lot as he left. Looking over my right shoulder to ensure the way was clear I was startled when the brakes slammed on. Some clown on a bike and not paying attention crossed right behind me from left to right…travelling out of my blind spot (from behind the jacked up pickup truck on my left). Had my car not had that feature I’d have had a fender bender and he’d of been even worse off. As the old joke I once saw in a (ahem) gentleman’s magazine went, he’d have been in the right...dead right. Don’t knock those sensors and brake assists…they work!
