yeah a smart phone seems mandatory for many things like work. I had one and love the free Lexus app and smart key feature but then again I am a tech junkie.

Yes, all manufactures do/have done/and will continue to do this. However, you can opt out of it to some extent. They will still gather the information for their own use, like vehicle status and operational information, but many if not most allow you to opt out of having them sell or distribute your information. Toyota has a privacy policy that allows you to request the opt out, which can be accomplished on line. Are they honest in that? I expect so, but, as with most things and big business, it’s pretty opaque as we really don’t know in the end, but since they offer the option, take advantage of it. I did and it was easy. Just look on line.

I found only way was to in the Lexus app decline the Master Data Consent but that also disabled my 10 yr Service Connect which I read also collects data and only thing I don't have now is remote fob start which I never used anyway.

Hopefully you're all ditching your smartphones and getting a nice nokia brick after opting out of everything in your car.

smart phones have been mandatory for work for years. So no big deal. I do like the carplay sync feature wit( my new Lexus as I can listen to any music instantly or make hands free voice calls. No dongle needed like I had to use in my old BMW which was a royal PITA.

Go drive a Cadi. Then drive a Lexus. You will change your mind quick as shi*! My heart was set on a cadi. I drove an ES right before I drove the Cadi. Bro - apples and oranges. The cadi felt like toy. Very disappointing.

Drove a front drive and rear drive caddy. 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder. Also genesis g80. All 3 paled in comparison to the es350ul we purchased. Very happy with it. Ask 100 people you’ll get 100 opinions

It is probably the quietest and most smooth riding vehicles we've ever experienced. The seats have been extremely comfortable for an 11hr 700 mile day on the road. I do agree it's absurd that Lexus only uses a portion of the large screen in the base model. Our Lexus MSRP was $56k and change and Lexus of Winter Park discounted this vehicle $6k without even having to haggle with them. This is for a car that had 6 miles on it and was built in September. But I have to strongly disagree with some of the above comments at least as it pertains to a UL model.
I agree. I took delivery of a 2025 ES 350 Ultra Luxury in late December. Lexus of Winter Park was the dealer. Simply the best buying experience I’ve ever had. Extremely quiet interior. Very high level of interior fit and finish. My only nitpick is that the bumper caps could be a bit tighter when compared to an Audi A6. They’re good, say 8.5 out of 10 for exterior fit, but Audi is otherworldly well assembled.Paint, however, is flawless. If I designed the car, I would like to see some more soft touch material on the sides of the center console - but I’m quibbling.

My wife is so impressed with my Lexus three weeks into the ownership experience, and she wants one.

I use it mostly for work commutes. I took it on two road-trips. The adaptive cruise and lane assist are well sorted, and in highway cruising in Eco mode the V6 returns a solid mid-30s mpg.

It offers an isolated and relaxed ride, so if I want something more exciting on the weekends I take out my garage queen Honda S2000.

!!
We all need that sports car in the garage to drive on those days we want to let loose and drive like we did in our 20s. I have a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000gt for mine youthful return to driving.!

Oh man the S2000 is amazing! I love my 2006 BMW M3 but need to sell as too expensive maintenance. Would love a convertible Porsche someday.

Few of my friends driving those Bimmers and they always turning wrenches on them. I'll pass on that crap. LOL. I am actually going to rent something German (maybe Audi A6, maybe Benz) for a few weeks on my trip to Europe later this summer, just to check it out. I used to drive German cars back in the days, but those were different cars and different days...

After owning 2 different BMW models for the past 25 years, I am finally done with the car brand. Enjoyed the performance but the bills never end and was tired in the end of always having the car in the shop and unavailable. Led me to Lexus.

Does is come with the glasses holder, or it is still missing? I remember my 2016 ES350 UL on the long trip, it was the only issue worth talking about. Absolutely no room anywhere for the sunglasses.
