I have tried everything. I have looked at all car menus and used voice commands and unable to find how to sync climate control between driver and passenger side. There is no sync button in this vehicle. Does this particular year/model not have this function? Thanks!
I enabled SYNC on that screen a couple weeks ago and confirmed it was working.
Yesterday I noticed it wasn't syncing anymore and the switch somehow got disabled but not by me and I'm the only one that drives it
Hmmmm interesting, I might have inadvertently turned it OFF with a voice command but you have to initiate the command with "hey Lexus" which I doubt I did.
I was wondering the same on 2021 ES250 , was unable to find Sync button. Probably will have to check the screen, if possible.
Your 21 has the prior system in which case you have to select MENU and then I think drill into CLIMATE and you should see a SYNC radio button to check or uncheck.

Thank you for your reply and information provided.

Sync (or Dual on some models) goes out as soon as the passenger changes the temperature setting. Even if you return it to the same value as the Driver, the Sync light will stay off.

This explains why my sync status was mysteriously disabled.
In a sense, "SYNC" really means "Sort of SYNC" until a passenger decides otherwise
Somewhat more useful in an RX with real rear HVAC than the ES. Sync will tie all three (3) zones together so the driver can choose. As noted the whole thing quits when anyone touches their control.
They should have also had a SYNC/DUAL lock option so that even if you change the passenger side, it wouldn't disable the SYNC.
This used to get me when I first got the car.
I thought there was something wrong with the dual aircon system but then realised it was happening every time I took my wife for a drive haha.
