I'm hoping to get some clarity about wheel specs for a 2021 ES 350. Currently I have the 18" wheel package. I want to upgrade to a 19" or possibly 20" wheel. Does anyone know what specs would be needed to do the upgrade? Such as factory offset etc.

Also, would wheels from a different model Lexus work on the ES? What are the options from different models if there are any?

Ive browsed thru the "Aftermarket Wheels" post and it is very helpful but there are many posts that dont give specs for their upgraded aftermarket wheels.

What will you do with your 18” wheels. If they’re perfect, I might be interested in buying them. Noise reduction version? How many miles on them? Are you anywhere near PA?

 

The '21 ES350 with 18" wheels are 18x8" ET 45. If you go aftermarket 18s, and want a more flush look, you can find wheels with a lower offset such as 18x8 ET 40. This will make your wheels poke out 5mm more than stock.
If you're going aftermarket 19s or 20s, I would stick with the 8" width to be on the safe side or at max 8.5". You may otherwise encounter rubbing when the front wheels turn or making contact with the struts.
IIRC, the factory ES wheels have a bolt pattern 5x114. Not all model wheels will fit. For example Corollas are 5x100. I think the LS wheels are 5x120. You can find all the specs with Google search. Also the specs should be stamped on the back side of the wheels.

 

The ES350 FSport comes standard with 19" wheels. If you swap your current ES wheels for those, everything will fit and it won't change your speedometer readings. The tires that fit these 19" wheels are the 235/40R19 with a V speed rating.

 

Thanks for the info. It will be very helpful in going forward with this upgrade. "Shaboom" I have the standard 18" wheel that comes on the premium model, not the noise reduction wheels.

 

Use caution when playing with the offset. Straying too far from factory specs will put unintended strain on your wheel bearings, causing them to fail prematurely.

 

To a certain extent (1” spacers for example) this is true but 5mm spacers is like pissing in the ocean. It’s no different than going with 18x8 et 40. With that said I would never recommend 1” spacers.

 

The standard hub bore size for Toyota-Lexus front wheel drive is 60.1 mm. This is a very important measurement for proper wheel fit.
Wheels from other models based on the same platform will fit, these include the RX, TX, Highlander, Sienna, Avalon, Crown, etc.

I have run 20mm spacers on my RX350 for over 5 years with no issues. The concerns about wheel bearing wear are unwarranted in my opinion. The BMW club magazine tech guy said the same thing in a recent issue of their magazine.
