Hello. I have a 2024 ES350. I’m working with Waze on a CarPlay bug, and they’ve asked me what version of CarPlay I have. Does anyone know the answer, or know how to find the version? Thanks.
On a phone one can check out the "Release" via the '3 bars' on the top left.
Go to 'Settings'.
Scroll way down to 'About' (a circle with a lower case italic i).
See the Release number toward the bottom of the 'About and Notices' paragraph.
My current Release is showing as 4.103.

This could be what they are seeking.
thanks. This will give me waze info, not CarPlay data. I’ll try calling Lexus.
From what I have read, CarPlay is built into IOS and does not have a separate version number. What Waze should be asking is what version of IOS and phone model do you have. That should be all they need to know.
Incidentally, is the bug you encountered happening only when you use CarPlay or if you use Waze without CarPlay connect too?
I’ve already given them that info, thx. I’ll ask them for more info. Yes, this problem only occurs with CarPlay, not when using Waze only on the phone.
For those interested, there is a difference of up to 5-7 mph between actual speed and what the Waze speedometer shows (Waze is higher), but *only* when using CarPlay. I saw multiple references to this same issue on a subreddit, but only affecting Ford models. I think I’m the first to report (and document) this to Waze re Lexus.

Yes, that is a common Waze issue that has been going on for years across a lot of car brands. There is a thread below that discusses in detail and in one case a poster suggested deleting the Waze profile and recreating. I don't use Waze much but this would be annoying as it would throw the Nav ETA way off.
Chuck, that’s helpful to know, thanks. I guess Waze needs to figure this out. In the meantime I’ve just turned off the Waze speedometer. No more discrepancy with the car speedometer!
I think what waze is asking is version of carplay within the infotainment system of your car. Try looking at licensing agreements on your car system and not from phone. This might be the same reason android auto won't show speedometer on maps.
Thanks, I agree that’s probably what they need. But that info is not available through ordinary fiddling around (I even forced myself to check the technology and media owner’s manuals). The closest I can get is when I go to settings/software update/license, but all that gives me is some generic gobbledygook about Panasonic GNU general public license version 2 or later.
I’ve tried contacting my Lexus dealer but Lexus hasn’t been particularly helpful before so I doubt I’ll hear back.
