Android Auto newbie question
I'm a complete newbie with Android Auto so bare with me on my question. In a 2021 ES I had Android Auto turned on with Waze and Spotify running. I ended up wanting to stop using Spotify and listen to local radio but I could not figure out how to stop Spotify, leave Waze running, and switch over to the radio. I could push the radio button on the dash and get to the radio but I couldn't see the preset stations. Then every time I would go to the main menu and select Android Auto, Spotify would be running in the window on the far right. I couldn't figure out how to close just the Spotify app and get the radio presets to display. I'm sure if I unplugged my phone, stopped Spotify, and then plugged it back in I could have fixed it.
Another question I forgot about. When using Waze through Android Auto, the lady speaking the directions was super loud. I looked on the phone we were using and all of the media, notifications, and ringtone settings were set really low. Is there a way to turn down the volume of the Waze directions in the infotainment system?
In my 2022, what I do to listen to the radio in AA is to change the source to radio with the button. After that I hit menu and pull up AA again, works flawlessly each time, Spotify never kicks back on until I go to it manually. This is with Google Maps though and not Waze, so maybe that has something to do with it?
As for the volume of the Waze navi, that may be tied to the navigation volume in the settings. I personally leave the navigation audio off, but I recall messing around with the navigation volume settings in the Lexus UI and that changed the volume on Google Maps.

The AA split screen will remain regardless if the music pane is paused or not. Click on Waze icon on left bar and it will full size it so you no longer have Music pane showing. You can listen to radio many ways, steering wheel "mode", middle radio button, the back twister of the volume **** (I think), or touchpad
I don't use Waze, but with Google Maps I changed the volume (for the music) while the voice was speaking and it only changed the volume for the voice rather than the music. I had to wait for it to speak again to turn it back up. Waze may be the same way.
Gave this a try but unfortunately it didn't seem to make a difference.
