Bought my first Lexus two weeks ago. It is a used 2019 es350 f sport. Love the car but hate that the dealer wants to use it for his free advertising on my back. Afraid to just try to peal it off. Have any of you successfully removed an emblem?
Note, the left side of the emblem is not stuck tight so it might come off easy but I don't want to take a chance. Hoping for some good advice how to be sure not leave a mark on the car.
I have removed these labels for over 40 years without incident. Yours looks like it might peel off easily on a warm afternoon. You could use a little Goo-Gone or even WD-40 if you like. Maybe a little fishing line if necessary. Just go slow.

I’d have it done professionally at the dealer or at a body shop. I tried it myself once some of the paint came along. Learned my lesson.
Now I make no dealer placard or sticker (just a classy Lexus dealership license plate frame) a condition of the sale.
I take them off myself every time I get home after purchasing a new vehicle. Usually with just using my finger nails. Never a scratch. For those that have been cured for awhile I use my wife’s hair dryer and just peel them slowly off.
.
Bargaining power to have dealer remove for free is gone after sale. All of above options can be tried safely and I would use heat slowly pulling and make sure to not overheat.

i wish i had noticed the thing before closing the deal. I will try the heat and fishing line later today. Thanks all for the thoughts on this.
The heat and fishing line should be enough. Might not even need the line. Heat is usually enough. If they used strong 3m tape though, then spraying some goo gone or bumper sticker remover spray between it would help.
That is one of the tackiest dealer name plates I have seen, with about the worst location to mount it.
When I bought my ’22 ES350 UL I told the dealer in no uncertain terms that I wouldn’t take it with their name on it, so don’t stick it on there. They didn’t and all was good. I don’t worry about their name on the license plate frame as I usually replace that anyway once the real plate arrives.

Bet if you back to dealer, they’ll do it as a courtesy for you.
