Hello! I've got a 22 ES350 UL. I use carplay through a dongle rather than with wire. My car is currently at the shop, but while there, they've given me a 23 UL and I noticed that my apple navi directions popup on the cluster. Should they be populating on my 22's cluster and HUD?

 

I don't think so. My recollection is that wireless car play in the ES started with the 2023 model years. Prior years required a USB connection (or an aftermarket dongle of some sort). My ES is a 2024, and my previous car (2015) did not have carplay at all, so I am quite new to carplay, but I think it's great. Among other things, it gives me 3 navigation and traffic alert systems to choose from.

 

On my 22 it does not show directions in the cluster. Wired or wireless with a dongle. MY2023 had the infotainment update so it was integrated into the dash.

 

I have a 23 Lux. How did you get it to pop up the apple nav directions in the cluster? Sure, it will popup the lexus nav directions, but I thought the apple nav directions would not work.
