Default Finding The Package/Options I Prefer

I'm looking to get a newer Lexus in the coming months. I've done some searching for the past week and finding that my preferences are hard to find. I'd prefer a '19-20 ES350 UL. Options that matter to me are, panoramic camera, folding mirrors, ML audio. Is this a unicorn that may take months and nationwide search? I would consider the ES300h if it's easier to find. I don't feel a CPO is needed but will consider it if I must. As a long time member, I know searching can be very time consuming. Thanks to any members that can illuminate.

You won't find the folding mirrors on a 2019 ES. They were introduced in 2020.

Very helpful. It narrows my year search. I imagine that as we get further into 2024, more '20s will come on the market as their warranty expires.

Right now (12/2023) it is incredibly hard to find any new Luxury or UL builds. If you do find them, you have to live with whatever color or option(s) that Lexus decide to build.
I've been told Lexus never builds custom orders. So I think the odds of finding one is fairly rare. If you do find one then those options will most likely included in the UL (although also available options on Luxury).
Also food for thought. The 2021's and 2022's are coming off leases and you should have better luck with them. I believe the people that now have the 2019's and 2020's are keeping them.
You may need a nationwide search. Unless you are and audiofile, the base audio is very good.
Good hunting.

Great suggestion about off lease. I think certain areas of the country will see more high option cars. I believe CA, especially LA and SF have the money and demand. But looking nationwide is a good thought as well.

I made the mistake of not geographically expanding my search for a new ES350 so that I could get something closer to what I wanted. Another option I should have considered was simply paying a broker a fixed fee. I've read good reviews for hiring a broker to get a reasonable deal with minimal hastle.

I’m from PA but bought mine, new, from a huge volume dealership in Miami. Many choices, excellent price and great service. FL is too far for you but maybe check dealerships in Texas. Drive a little—-save a lot.

I'm not sure I'd want to drive 500+ miles on the highway with a brand new car since Lexus recommends you don't keep the engine at the same speed for extended drive times until after the first 600 Miles.
Will a distant dealer ship the car for a reasonable fee?

They had an office guy drive mine about 100 miles to deliver it to my condo.
Fly over to Texas and drive it home, gently, over two days. Make a little getaway out of it!

That's a great suggestion. Shipping is pretty easy as well. I'm willing to pay for what I want. Does anyone know which years and trims have the panoramic camera?

I find that the UL doesn’t appear on the used market as often as it does on the new market.

if you must have the pano camera, that is UL only.

if you’re looking for a common color - white, black, caviar, with a common interior color - black - it shouldn’t be too hard to find.

I really do want the pano view. If I remember right, the pano also gives automatic braking in certain situations. That's a safety item I'd like as well. I had it on another car and used it all the time. I could live without ML. I believe that's an additional option beyond UL.

Not true. My '19 ES Lux has it.

I don't think a dealer will ship it, but rather might recommend a shipping company or two for you to make the arrangements with. I bought a used Z4 a few years ago from a dealer way out of state, and that's the way that deal went. The shipping was a lot less than I anticipated.
