Default Scratching on Dash

Is anyone else having a problem with surface scratches on their dash?
I wiped my dash with a clean dry Microfiber cloth and it caused a few surface scratches..
Just wonder if I'm the only lucky one with this problem.

I use nothing more than a damp towel to clean the top of the dash, the console, the clear plastic gauges and the steering wheel. The material - especially the clear plastic over the gauges - is soft and can be damaged very easily. I found that micro fiber cloths can and will scratch plastic.

I'm talking about the faux leather dash it self.. Not the plastic coving the gauges..

I haven't had any experience with this, as I have yet to clean my dash, but I'm glad to know not to use microfiber! I'll probably use a damp 100% cotton towel or old t-shirt. Did you get the luxcare treatment when purchasing your car?

when finalizing my purchase, Lexus offered me a whole bunch of extras(for extra money). extended warranty, clear mask, luxcare(interior/exterior treatment), prepaid maintenance, etc.

yep. figure the ivory interior probably needs all the help it can get :-) I don't actually know how effective it is, or if it would prevent scratches or not. Thats why I was wondering if you had it.

That's exactly why I didn't get the ivory because of marks.. But the black is 10 times worst I think.
I wish I would have went with the ivory now.

this has been my experience too. My 2011 had a black interior, and it showed SO MUCH dirt and dust all the time! I didn't think I'd like the ivory interior, but it was the only UL I could find locally, so I went with it. Now I like it alot.

I'm talking about the fake leather dash top also. Use the damp towel on the dash AND the gauges...No dry microfiber cloth...

I'm getting some light scratches or wear from using the sunshade on the dash. I think the black faux leather dash is a bit sensitive. I was looking in the detailing forum for recommendations for dash care - definitely don't use Armor All on it.

I was also reading posts over there. It seems like most like that 303 Aerospace protectant.

I read some like the Meguires Inter. cleaner. Most places sell Meguires, but where do you get the 303 Aerospace?
