Charging the iPhone (or any other phone)
Just bought the 2013 ES 350 and love it so far. I have an iPhone 4S and have paired it with the Bluetooth option. That works great, but I do need to charge the phone from time to time in the car. I know there are audio ports in the center console - power plug, usb port and 3.5mm audio jack. I was wondering if the 3.5mm audio jack charges the phone? If so, would it charge the phone as fast as the power plug?

Thanks! Any thoughts on USB charging? I'm trying to minimize the size and bulk of the charging cable. As you probably know, the new ES is sorely limited on storage space. The USB cable is much less bulky than the 12v charging cable.

Belkin & Joy both make stubby 12v chargers with a USB output (5V/2.1A). Your white sync cable will plug right in. Plus you can use it for other devices that do not use the Apple connector.
