Default Enhancing Sound in ES 300h

While the sound isn't bad and definitely not up to the level of ML - I was wondering if anyone has thought about replacing speakers or adding speakers or adding an amp to purify the sound. I am not a teenager where I need to have sound blaring out my window but would love to know if there is a low-cost option for obtaining better sound.

I added a couple 10" subs to my es350. It helps tremendously to the overall sound quality. I don't know the specs on the OEM speakers and amp but the general issue is that if you start changing the speakers you will have to change amps as most stock systems run at a very lower resistance. I also understand that the volume level for our cars is all controlled through the factory amp and not at the head unit. This would mean that you you have to add a processors, such as the JBL MS-8 instead of the factory volume controls or, you could go with one of the Audio control line output converters (LOC) and pull the signal after the amp to the LOC to your aftermarket amp to your aftermarket speakers.

In a short answer to your question, none of the options will be low cost if you are trying to improve the sound quality. I used an RTA and was able to adjust mine fairly good using the three adjustments factory gives you. But, nowhere near the level I could get with a custom system.
