Default Running lights blinking.

2017 ES 350 ultra luxury, 52,000 miles. Wife comes home and the string of lights just under the headlights are blinking while the engine is running. Engine off, lights quit blinking. I have never seen it do this before. Any ideas?

Could this be a sign that the battery is going out?

Those lights are all LED's. Cross your fingers and hope they're not going south... Very expensive to replace. Is it both sides? Without any other signs that your battery is failing I don't think that's the cause...

As others said if it was both lights something weird going on, but if it was one headlight only it could be the led's going out. Your 2k miles outside the warranty. Document it and call Lexus corporate, see if they can help you out or cover the repair.

Yes it is both sides. But the next morning everything is back to normal. Strange glitch.

Probably a fluke, but one long shot theory Is that if the ES350 Parking Brake disables the lights when engaged, is it possible that the parking brake switch was recognizing the parking being engaged/disengaged, which would make the DRL's go on/off repeatedly?
