Default 2013 ES350 Clock Spring & Spiral Cable

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has a website or source i can shop for a Clock spring/spiral cable (without Sensor).

no luck on ebay, amazon or different part stores so the only option was OEM around 350 CAD. the 2013 year seems super rare.

its seems that the 2012 ES350 clock spring is common and used in the 2013 IS350. perhaps its interchangeable but ebay is incorrect?

any sites or Links would be helpful.

Also, if anyone has ever changed the clockspring, is this a job an average person can do by themselves?

Thanks

I doubt you can get a clock spring any place other than Lexus OEM. Unless you try an auto wrecker/junkyard for a used one. Probably cheaper to live with the noise.

From looking up part numbers online (https://www.ssl-parts.com/):

84307-33100 : w/o heated steering wheel
84307-33110 : w heated steering wheel

It is the same for 2013 ES350 and ES300h but different for 2014+ and for Camrys. Not sure what you mean by "without sensor" - the steering wheel angle sensor is a separate component.

Ebay lists one 33100 used spring for usd$138.

You can always go to car-parts.com , find junk yards with 2013 ESs and start calling them about the clock spring (many do not list them directly). There should be a decent supply of 2013 ESs by now.

Replacing the clock spring should be fairly easy - just make sure to disconnect the battery when working with air bags.

Thanks for the help. The part 84307-33100 has the sensor.

I've been unable to get the clockspring seperate. Same issue with ordering through dealer.

Would you have the eBay link? Everything I look at said it's not compatible.
thanks

Actually, I see the problem now. Most dismantlers sell clock spring and angle sensor as one unit. The angle sensor has it part number prominently printed on it. But no so for the clock spring - which only has the last 5 digits printed. So just search ebay for the angle sensor number and you get more hits hits - like this one that includes clocksprint, two stalks and the angle sensor all for $129 usd

Thanks for the link.

For 200 bucks I would seriously consider doing it.

I'm also hoping for an airbag light soon and throw this on the dealer as an safety issue.

Cheers
