Default Best synthetic oil for es350

Any recommendations for the best synthetic oil can buy for my 2015 es and then give it to a shop that would only charge for labor as figured the shops don't use as good quality brands. (almost 9000 miles and a year since last oil change)
Thanks!

I've used Mobil 1 EP full synthetic for years... supposed to be good for up to 15K miles, but even so I change mine every 5K miles... is it overkill? yeah but it's not a big deal and gives me peace of mind. Royal Purple is supposed to be a very good synthetic oil.. never tried it as it costs even more than mobil 1.

I take my five quart jug of Mobil 1 ($23) and Toyota oil filter ($5) bought on line to my local Toyota dealership who charges me $25 labor. Total cost $53. The main reason is Lexus does not use Mobil 1. My local Service manager told me the brand and can not remember but it is not a major brand. I always take my Mobil 1 to the oil change. It is at Walmart for $23 and in the Spring and fall Exxon runs a $12 rebate. Scan your receipt and all done on line.

Sure we will get the post about Amsoil or Royal Purple or some other high cost oil being better. This is the law of diminishing returns. There is no way Amsoil is twice or three times better than Mobil 1 after the rebate. If you change your oil every 10,000 miles using Mobil 1 you will be fine.

man, sometimes i wish i lived in the suburbs or in another more friendlier state.

try that at any of my local lexus dealers, they would look at me if i was crazy or charge me $120 for labor. ain't no such thing here in metro ny LOL

god the lexus service centers around NYC are all garbage, very rude personel, no one does the job properly, etc etc etc.

in 20 years of driving, i only had 1 service department where they actually treated me right. and that's mercedes, but they are expensive as all hell.

nissan, toyota, honda, hyundai, infiniti, acura, audi <----had them all. all their service departments are garbage as hell.

then i realize i'm living in NY........sigh......

Pennzoil synthetic is fine. I have always just used Mobil 1 because of the rebates and high quality.

I've used Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic in my 1991 Toyota MR2 for many years and still do. There is a $10 rebate right now through June 30th, 2019, that brings the price of 5 quarts down to $12.68.

You can use Pennzoil, Castrol, Mobil 1, or any other name brand full synthetic oil. I usually use Pennzoil Platinum but buy whatever is on sale... Mobil 1 seems to be the least expensive at Walmart and periodically they offer rebates... I tried buying the oil and taking it to a Toyota dealer but what they charged and the price of the oil came out to almost the same charge for an oil change. So, I do it myself for about $35.00...

I don't know what "Dexos" oil is, don't use "high mileage" because my car isn't high mileage, but do use the Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic. Mobil 1 is less money and same bang for your buck...

i don't see regular platinum , I believe it's called dexos.
so pennzoil and mobil 1 are same quality, I thought mobile 1 was better in general (they also claim better gas mileage on the one pictured above) but pennzoil probably cheaper with rebates.

I agree with Poppa and Freds...I have been using Mobil 1 full synthetic over a period of time. It has always been okay and good. there may be some other brands out there

Is there anything that comes in a larger size, since the ES takes 6.4 quarts? Are there any large 7 quart jugs?
