I was at the dealer today looking at a 2019. They had a chart on the desk with all the extras you could add. Side moldings were listed at $199.00...
They are also available online if you want to install them yourself. I bought mine for $99.00 and put them on in the summer... Very worthwhile IMO...

That is the kind of thing that you can get the dealer to throw in free or, at least, at a significantly reduced price if you make it part of the negotiations at the time when you buy the car. The way to do it is to bring it into the negotiations only after the rest of the deal has been negotiated. At that point, the dealer is not going to be willing to lose the sale of the car over an item that likely costs the dealer less than $50. When I bought my ES, the item that I saved for the end of the negotiations was paint protection film, and the dealer agreed to have a very complete paint protection film package put on the car for less than half of their advertised price and less than half of what it would have cost me to have the same paint protection package done at a local trim shop. Again, the dealer is not going to be willing to lose a vehicle sale by refusing to give you a high markup item at their cost or even a bit less than their cost.

Good advice Les and I do it every time. Usually get something for free...

I am trying to decide between a new 2019 ES350 , FWD, and a Certified Pre Owned 2018 ES350, FWD, with 10,000 miles. The new 2019 ES350 has the Premium Package, Blind Spot Monitor. While the 2018 CPO does seem to have a few more bells and whistles, like the Navigation Package, Luxury Package, Panoramic Glass Roof. The difference in cost is $4,500. I am having a difficult time deciding. Can anyone weigh in?

I also do the same. I just bought my 2018 ES350 and right before signing deal, required an extra set of OEM floor mats (carpet) to put in storage. These always wear and it'll be nice to pull out in 4 years.

I didn't even know they had the door mouldings.. I'll have to check on line/dealership. Any suggestion for online place to buy?

It depends on your budget. I searched and found mine at a Nissan Dealer, , Car Had 3200 mi.This is my first 2018 ES350, Absolutely love it. But my car is worth the same after I drove it off the lot. Last owner ate the depreciation.

Tru dat, less tax, cheaper to insure, less depreciation.
If it were apples to apples (e.g., last year and comparing a CPO 2017 to a new 2018) then the CPO could be a clear winner.
A CPO 2018 to a new 2019 is apples to bicycles...

Could you elaborate. I follow your train of thought, but would be interested to know a little more. Thank you.

I was under no pressure to get a car,no rush. Had been following this car at a Nissan dealership for about 6 weeks. Car wasn't sold as CPO, I still have full warranty minus, 8 months. I had a budget and it was 36K, .
Car has been in showroom since October . There weren't many in the color I wanted, and the pickings were slim. , I knew the new model was coming out. Plus they were over 40K$. My truck and 35,200$. OTD. I'll never buy a new car for the depreciation alone. Hope this was what you were looking for.
