Tire pressure warning reset switch?

I have never reset my TPMS after tire rotations (or any other time) and Im quite sure the tire shops do not do it either. The Lexus dealers who rotated mine a couple of times never noted a reset on the service report. As I understand it, the only time you might need to do a reset is if you make a big change in tire pressures. The reset changes the alarm set points to reflect the new tire pressures. The TPMS always seems to know the correct location of each tire based on my experience when I adjust pressures.
"The tire pressure warning system must be initialized in the following circumstances:
● When rotating the tires.
● When the tire inflation pressure is changed such as when changing traveling
speed or load weight."

Maybe Lexus should have made the reset button more accessible if it wants the drivers to do this that frequently. From their advice it seems that we may need to do this at least every 5000 miles or even more frequently. I have never done it even once. My TPMS is functioning well.

I use the mirror method. I put the mirror on the floor and then I use a flathead screw driver with foam tape over the screw head for reset. I have done it twice now and it gets easy after the first try.
