Power Trunk not working

Exclamation Power Trunk not working

Hello,

My father just bought a used 2014 Lexus ES350 fully loaded
the car came with the power trunk.
but it is not working and act like a regular trunk but when soft close it the the suction works but no power opining and closing

what would be the solution for the problem since this is a big deal for my dad

Is the valet switch pressed in the glove box?

I think if valet switch pressed the trunk would not open at all.

That would be a big deal with me too - I love it. Do you hear any kind of noise when you push the close button on the trunk lid? It is strange that the soft close feature works but nothing else.

All I can suggest is have your Lexus dealer look at it and hope you still have the basic warranty coverage.

Does it pop open with the trunk button in the car, or only with the key? Also, are you sure it has the power trunk feature?

Update:
My father took the car to a shop and they said the the motor is not working at all.
what is the part number of the motor so I can look it up

I am assuming it was a Lexus shop and the tech did check the fuse if it is not working at all?
