last week we took delivery on our '16 ES.
As we ready for our 1st trip I notice that there is no longer a 12v outlet at the dash, only the 12v and2 USB ports in the center console.
1- Have I missed something?
2- Has anyone run a micro USB outlet from the center console to the dash?
3- Does anyone know if the USB ports are 2amp?
On a 19hr drive the phones usually need to be plugged in and I prefer not having a cable laying on the console to the dash.
You know there is a 12V lighter socket in the back seat at the base of the center console? I have a almost flush mount 2 outlet USB plugged in there mainly for rear seat users but it would also work for front seat passengers.
Based on the newer cars that I've been in, it seems like outlets in the dash are no longer a thing. I personally prefer them in the console as I hate cords running down the dash.

Yup, I'm aware, but I don't want to string a cable from the rear to the dash on the surface.
I'm looking to run a cable from the console to the dash under the trim
