Default Does anyone know how to keep the navigation screen on daytime when headlights go on?

I had my navigation system reboot yesterday and since then, when the headlights go on, the navigation screen dims rather than stay in daytime mode (brighter). Does anyone know how to keep the navigation screen on daytime when headlights go on?

The nav screen is supposed to dim when the headlights activate. This is normal.

Before the navigation re-set, it was always bright. There is a setting for it, but I cannot find it. The owner's manual only addresses how to do this on the non-navigation system, and I cannot find the fix in the navigation book.

There is an adjustment.

I have a 2013, what you are looking for is day mode. When the headlights are on, click on menu and on the top right corner on the screen click on display. Then select day mode.

L3XUSFAN is correct but only when it is dark. The Day Mode button
shows but if it is daytime you must cover the ambient light sensor.
This is the small dark dome out by the defroster vent, cover with
a smart phone or other opaque object. 20 seconds later the main
lights will come on, the Nav screen will go dark and day mode will
appear when you touch Menu/Display.

Why do you want the Nav screen to be bright at night?

I have the same question since the screen is way to bright, almost blinding and a distraction at night and will still go into 1/2 screen daytime mode when you are close to your turn or destination.

Thank you all. I was about to write the same thing for anyone who didn't want the screen to dim with the headlights on. I went to my Lexus dealer on Saturday and the tech guy showed me how to do it. I kept trying to change it in daylight..

Thanks again
