Default Auto-Tilt Steering Wheel for entry/exit

Does anyone know how to turn this off? I managed to turn off the driver's side auto-slider but can't figure out how to turn off the steering wheel portion.

I'm not a big fan of the entry/exit assist. I kind of feel that all that movement will wear out the motor over time. Perhaps I'm just being paranoid.

I did not like the feature also due to my long legs. Didn't like the steering not only moving away from the seat but down. It is one of those personal settings that can only be done at the dealer. Another setting that can only be done by dealer is changing the key fob to when you hold down the unlock button for three seconds all the windows roll down. Another I had changed is the blinker lane change going from three blinks to five or seven. I thought the default of three was to short. My wife's RX450h I was able to change myself in the settings.

Confused by this statement. My wheel moves away and up. My seat doesn't move, because it's already all the way back.

To the OP. I wouldn't worry about the motor wearing out, due to this. It's been around a long time and I haven't heard of any issues regarding that.

On my 2013 ES when I turned off the engine the steering wheel would move toward the dash and by doing so would also lower my about three inches. This made it tough for me to get my long legs out of the drivers seat.

On both of my ES the steering wheel retracts (goes in towards the dash)) and goes up out of the way when I turn the vehicle off. All of the Lexus vehicles we have owned over the years did the same. I do not believe your wheel should go in and down, perhaps you should have it looked at.

Default Vehicle Customizations

I do have the CARISTA app which allows you to make all of the dealer adjustments through your smart phone. You will need the OBDII donkey for $30 and pay $20 to register to app to make the changes. Total one time expense of $50.

You can turn off easy exit in settings, BUT its STANDARD for the steering wheel to retract, no matter what..

To keep the wheel from retracting there is a "dealer only" setting (2016) I believe its option #31 Tilt Away of Steering Wheel.. Currently its set for STANDARD, which retracts the steering wheel.
Dealer can turn OFF, and your steering wheel will remain in its position.

I think azipod is referring to when the steering wheel retracts, it tilts up, then goes back. But the going back is toward the dash in a slight downward motion. So I think he means that fully retracted is "down and close" to the dash and gets in the way of his legs. You can adjust the distance the drivers seat moves back, but I'm not aware of a way to affect the steering wheel movement.
