Default Fold down rear seat?

Seems that the current version doesn't have a fold down rear seat and that's strange. It's a pretty common option so I'm wondering if anyone knows whether the ES 350 ever had one? Do other Lexus models come with them?

Kind of weird to not offer one...

I had a 2007 and 2010 ES350 (both previous gen) and neither of them had a fold down rear seat.

Current generation (2013+) never offered fold down rear seats, which is kinda annoying for a car like this and when you need to carry bulky items or luggage. I would understand if there was some bracing or something that prevents this feature for handling reasons, but I doubt that's the reason.

I believe the IS is the only (and first) Lexus sedan with fold down rear seats.

I don't remember the ES ever having a fold down seat - too hard to limit the cabin noise. There is the small pass-thru though.

Won't work on the 300h, and no pass-thru because of the batteries.

There is most definitely structure across the opening in the rear seat that prevents a "full" pass through. A major bolted on support with additional smaller supports.

Yep I was hoping to find something there to bolt an amp rack to, luckily there's plenty of support with predrilled holes perfect to bolt mdf to.
