Angry Really Rough Idle!!!

Just bought a L/Certified pre-owned 2013 ES 350. I am shocked at how much the car vibrates and noise increases when stopped at a light or stop sign. I tried a 2015 ES 350 and the same thing occurs!! The dealership technician says everything is operating "to specification". This is a disgrace for such a high-tech, luxury car. Does anyone else notice this?

You might want to try a different dealer and have them look at it. It's too bad you didn't notice it on the test drive.

Not experiencing what you are with our 2015 ES350. Like already said, have it checked by a different dealer.

I have had several, none exhibited the symptoms you're describing. Take it elsewhere.

Too bad you didn't notice it on your test drive. I personally don't think that's normal for it to have the noise and vibration you're having. As others have said, bring it to another dealer since its under warranty. You may have better treatment and resolution.

The idle should be smooth enough to where you can barely tell it's running.

smooth idle in my '14 ES350.

May be a broken engine mount, regardless have another dealer take a look.

Same problem, took it to the dealer and they said it was fine.
It seems to be worse when the air is running full blast.

Call Lexus Corporate and complain, vibrations at idle are abnormal. It should be almost unnoticeable that the engine is running.

These cars have liquid filled engine mounts. Check to see if one of them is not defective. Unfortunately they will just have to be replaced.
I used to have a Mazda Millenia which also had OEM liquid mounts and it's V6 had a very smooth idle. When a mount got broken, I took it to Sears because they gave me the lowest quote and they replaced it with an aftermarket solid rubber mount. What a horrible mistake that was! I started feeling engine vibrations at idle and it just ruined the joy of the car for me. In that case the car was too old to replace the mounts so I had to live with it for a few years. Two hard learned lessons:
Engine mounts are likely bad.
Never take your car to Sears.

There should be NO vibration and NO noise coming from the engine. My engine is so quiet I tried to start it after it was running. I am puzzled as to why you didn't hear or feel anything during the test drive. After all, this is what a test drive is for...If your assessment is correct, then something, IMO, is definitely wrong.

I bought mine in December. The dealer let me bring the car home and drive it for 2 days.
It was very smooth and quiet.
Fast forward to warmer weather, air conditioner running and the vibration starts.

I bought the 2013 ES 350 in January. The car has really bad vibration which I can only figure out couple days after buying it. I brough it to 5 different dealerships, They all said it's a "normal characteristic" of the car. It put some chevron techron in, the car idling at higher rpm, the vibration has improved a lot; however, the steering wheel still had some sort of vibration when it come to stop light. Did you guy find a solution for it?

Every car that I have ever owned vibrated more when the A/C was switched on. This is not to say that the car shook or the windows clattered. However, I think that it is normal for the car to exhibit some additional vibration when A/c comes on due to the compressor engaging. Other than that, excessive vibration is not a normal event. OTOH, if five dealers agree that no problem exists, then I'm inclined to go with the dealer assessment.
