Default Remote window roll down?

Can anyone tell me if the 2015 has this feature where you hold the key fob down and the windows roll down?

Can't seem to figure out if this feature exists.

Yes, the ES does have that feature. However, to access the feature, you need to have it set via the personalized settings. For the 2013 ES, it is personalized setting number 29. I'm not sure if the number of the setting is the same on the 2014 or 2015 ES.

The personalized settings can be accessed by the dealer. If you wish to do it yourself, you either need the Toyota TechStream software or the Carista smart phone app (and the appropriate hardware interface).

p139 of the User's Manual says to hold down the unlock on the fob and the moon roof and windows will open. However, by default the feature is disabled. The Lexus dealer needs to program that for you. It's unfortunate that they have several features programmable in the car but others require the dealer to change.

That is why it is nice to have either the TechStream software or the Carista app. The cost of the TechStream software and OBD/usb connector is about $30. The cost of the Carista app and wireless OBD connector is about $20. In either case, with the software or app, you can change personalized settings as often as you want for a fraction of what the dealer would charge to change the settings once. And you can do the changes in a couple of minutes without having to leave your garage and without having to make a trip to the dealer.

Thanks for the information. That is good to know.

Can you tell me what other features are programmable that I might not know of?

Also, is it possible to set it so the home screen is the radio or whatever I leave it on when the car starts?

Thanks for the help in advance.

There are 38 personalized settings as listed in the link below.

Some can be accessed directly through the vehicle's menus. Others, as explained above, can only be changed by the dealer or by the owner with the TechStream software or Carista smart phone app.

FYI - I purchased the Carista module from Amazon and used it with my Google smartphone.
I did it in my driveway and it took about 10 minutes.

Carista cost: $13.00. Dealer cost: A lot more...

Can anyone tell how to change the default home menu when you start the car?

If you have it set not to swap back to the map, it should start up in whatever screen you leave it set to, be it the radio, climate, etc.

Its one of the options in the system menu, the default is to revert back to the map after 30 or 60 seconds.

Bringing up an old thread, but I just had my dealer program a new setting that allows opening and closing of all windows from the key fob. Previously I could only open the windows from the fob but I had to get in the car to roll the windows back up. Now I hold down the unlock button on the fob and the windows roll up.

Mine's a 2014 ES300h, I just had the update done a few days back. Could be a new thing because the service guy told me about it as soon as I drove in to the garage.

Slight mistake in my previous post: now I can roll the windows up by holding down the lock button.
