I may be in the minority, but I do not like the latest trend that auto makers are taking in regards to rear bumpers. While some auto brand's rear bumpers look okay with the black colored plastic underneath, I do not especially care for the way the ES's looked, so I had it painted the same color as the rest of the bumper. By doing this, it actually made the car look lower in back, and less "jacked-up." What do you think?

It is all one piece so it had to be taped off. Fortunately, because of the configuration of this piece, and where it is located, it is easy to get a good job done. My paint shop charged $200 and I must say did a smashingly good job. There was a lot of paper and taping underneath and I doubt even a Lexus service provider can detect any overspray.
It does look good. After seeing the photos, I would consider it. Your body person/painter did an excellent job.
Looks like the paint is a good match as well.
wow, I gotta say, I never really even noticed the lower black area... but i sure like the way your car looks with that area painted to match.. very nice...
