This post is more of an FYI, I kinda feel like a dummy but maybe this will help others....Bought our new ES350 on February 1st and every time we stop and got out of the car the "window open" light came on. We have had a very cold Winter/Spring here in Idaho with no real need to open the windows. Just today I opened and closed all four windows and the open window light went away. Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem.

 

I've never even seen that light. I've never had much of a chance to open my windows, though. It's been a cold spring in the Chicago area. On a side note, I'm actually in Idaho right now. You're having some great weather. I have not seen a single Lexus, let alone an ES.

 

There's one dealer in the whole state and in Boise.

 

If you have never seen the light then your system is working correctly. Open a window then turn off the engine and open the driver door and you should see the message where the tempature reading and gear selction is located.

 

Same for the sunroof.

 

I get that same message all the time when I leave any of the windows opened just a crack for some air with the warm weather we've been getting. I was annoyed in the beginning, but realize it's a good reminder to close your windows in case it rains.

Perhaps one of your windows was not totally closed from the dealer and you got that message until you opened and closed all your windows?

 

All the windows were closed as I have run the car through multiple car washes. I think just cycling the windows for the first time since assembly was perhaps the answer...who knows??

I guess with all that dust out there, you need to do something drastic.
