Anyone have Geodrive tires? Or have and get rid of them? Seems to lose traction pretty easy (on the front). Only driven in dry, hasn’t rained yet. They are fairly new. Dealer put them on…I assume they got them by a truckload in the standard 215/55R17 size.
Rears are Michelins Defender2. Fairly new as well.
my plan is to give them a try in the rain, if they slip and slide more than expected I’ll switch ‘em out for Defender2 so I have a matched set all around.

just wondering if anyone had them and was happy.
Geodrive is made by Sumitomo I'm sure their decent tires. If you put 2 new tires on a car put them on the rear because that is where the stability is on cars. And make sure their are the same size.

Edit: I was wrong, put new tires on the rear.
Terrible advice.
Put the grippiest tires on the front because where most of the braking and all of the steering is. Acceleration too in Fwd cars.
Really you can do what you think is best. But Google it and see what it says about only putting 2 new tires on a front wheel drive car if you can't afford 4.

I did just google it and it seems that I have been wrong my whole life 😂
Yep, new (or at least best/grippiest) should be on the rear axle.
so far these geodrives are pretty mediocre in dry conditions. Haven’t had any rain to test in. I don’t want my new drivers in the fam on sketch tires so I’ll check it out first.
Finally got a little rain. They are an adequate, middle of the road tire. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy them, but I won’t swap them out until after they get some wear on them.
