Please help
I’ve been having problems with my car for about 2 weeks now. When I turn it on it turns on just fine and then 1 second later it turns off . I press the brake and hold the push to start button until I hear the car start then I let go that’s when the car turns off. Sometimes I have to keep trying for like 15 minutes to finally get the car to start and not die. It drives just fine after that but if I park and turn it off and back on it all happens again. Today I noticed that if I press the button fast (like tap it )the car starts and doesn’t turn off. Idk if that’s just coincidence. My mechanic cleaned my throttle last Monday and my car was fine until yesterday that it started doing it again I took it back to the mechanic and he said the battery was weak and he recharged it ( the car always starts just fine when where at the mechanic so idk if he believes me or not)I took the car to auto zone because I still had warranty on the battery they tested it and said battery was good that my alternator was bad according to the machine they use to test the battery. I’m so stressed out and frustrated can anyone help or has someone gone through something similar.

Maybe the start button has worn out after 180,000 miles. Maybe your mechanic should double check the state of your alternator and charging system and for stored codes.
Maybe you need another mechanic who is more familar with Toyota & Lexus vehicles.
