Default Gas mileage

Anyone think that using fuel system cleaners actually increases your mileage?

It's effeciveness is pretty anecdotal. Using a bottle of techron is pointless if you're using "top tier" fuel.

The dealer fuel injector service on the other hand is a low-to-mid cost "peace of mind" service that if you feel you need basedo n throttle response and fuel efficiency, just get it. I think they use an electrical process to clean carbon off the injectors and throttle bottles. This is obviously different from a bottle of techron. Most people will say this service and a techron bottle is pointless if you're using "top tier" fuel. I think the dealer service in the 150-200 range and is recommended after 15,000 miles of mixed driving.

Just did this using BG44. Friend a mechanic at Toyota dealer so he did it for me. Came in a 3 pack. Cleaned throttle body, poured bg44 in gas tank and also hooked a small bottle of bg44 to one of the lines connected to engine and let the device push the liquid through the system

Not sure about gas mileage as its only been 3 days but the car idles a lot better and some power has been restored
