Default TPMS Recommendation

Hello, I recently bought a 2009 ES350 with tire pressure sensor on, Costco would not replace them without wheel lock key which I bought it yesterday at Toyota dealership. Now second costco location told me that their universal tire pressure sensors are having issues with all 2007-2010 models that warning would come back again in a week or so. Wondering if you guys used costco sensors that had no problem or you would recommend some other aftermarket sensors?

Thanks
Sathish

Make sure to check your spare tire. My TPMS came on a couple days ago and all four tires were fine so I took it to Discount to get it fixed and the guy says "let me check the spare." It was the spare.

Thx, will do. Any chance you know the brand name of the sensors?

I had mine replaced after getting new batteries . I have a '09 with 55 K and decided to put new sensors with the new tires. The guy at Discount had to work to get the car to recognize the new sensors as the light stayed on even after the new tires and sensor. Yes, the spare is always the first one I check to see if it is low.

I had Costco replace them on my 2011 Lexus HS250h when the battery went bad in one and they used Schrader TPMS. They hoped that somehow the new sensors would automatically program themselves (a fantasy) and told me to drive around and return if the light was still on. They said if I came back to just pull up to the service bay and tell them what happened. I returned and the guy programmed them in 5 minutes using a handheld device. They work perfectly.

Check under the passengers dashboard for button used for 2 different sets of wheels. It could of accidentally been kicked or pressed.

Thanks, don't know if those buttons were pressed again by a mechanic when I had him to unplug the VCI cable from ODB port, Warning disappeared couple of days ago and hoping it stays that way.
