Default Replacement front seats/covers

Hey gang,

Looking to fix the front seats in my '07, as the leather has split in a couple of places. Don't really need new seat frames, so I was hoping to just get new leather covers for these. Anyone have good experience with a particular company or product? I found these, but don't know much about them --> Lseat Covers.. Looks like you can get them with the perforated insert as well.

Any other ideas?
Thanks!

You can find used seat covers on eBay. They sometimes sell the back and bottom separately. That is usually cheaper than getting another seat unless you find a junkyard deal.
You may also want to contact a few local car upholstery shops.

Awesome. Thanks guys. Looks like there are several similar companies in Houston Tx selling these. How long have you had yours installed? Holding up okay? Is it full leather or is the perforated insert vinyl?

I never took any pictures, it's not complicated to replace the bottom part. You need to remove the seats from the car, you need to remove all the side plastics and then you unclip the leather cover all around. With some pliers you open the steel circles that hold the middle part of the cover (you will reuse those circles). You need to switch the seat heater from the old one to the new one, it should be stitched on a couple of places. It's pretty straight forward.

I'm also wanting to replace the front seat backs as well. I'm curious what happens to the map pockets on the back of the seat. I guess I'll find out once I get around to that job. New struts come first!

Do these work for air conditioned seats as well? a/c seems to be ventilated, not sure how the heater portion works. it has a dial button on the console, that is red or blue for warm or cold.

They for for the ventilated seats. You just need to swap the heater element.

I want to do the top and bottom of the seats come spring time, might buy them from that eBay supplier.

Hi, LjeksesES and everyone. Thanks for posting comments, etc.

I have vented seats on my 2010 RX350. The passenger bottom is just starting to rip on the perforations. I'm thinking of using stretchy sewing thread to slow down the rips but ran across this posting.

LjeksesES, you wrote "Leather + perforated vinyl." Can you explain that further? Will the replacement leather have the perforations like what is in the OEM? Thanks.

you have to remove the bolt covers, for bolts and one plug underneath. Also you have to remove one bolt that holds the belt. I will take some pics.

The sides are made from leather and the perforated part is made from vinyl.
The replacement Cover will have the holes for ventilation and it comes with a much thicker pad and the seat is more comfortable.
